What is the SESP Program?
The SESP Program recruits and trains volunteers across the state of Massachusetts to act as special education decision-makers for children who are in in the custody of a state agency. These children have no parent or guardian available to make these decisions on their behalf.
How can you help?
There are hundreds of children across the state of Massachusetts who need a concerned adult in their area willing to accept this role. By volunteering as an Special Education Surrogate Parent you become an important member of a Team in determining and ensuring a child receives a free and appropriate public education (FAPE). |
